Yes, the Beginner Course is designed for students who have no prior woodworking or tool experience. Once you have completed the course you are ready to dive into the Advanced Course. I do recommend using a mitre saw when introducing new angles, if this is your first time, make sure you follow the instructions in your tool manual or get an experienced user to assist you during your first attempts.
Each course is approximately 2.5 hours long. I encourage you to pause and play as you follow along. Most students watch the course, buy their materials and then build their design while watching the modules again, following each step that I demonstrate in detail in the video modules.
You will get access to pre-recorded video modules where I walk you through each step of building a wood mosaic. I am explaining everything I do in a step-by-step style and you also get downloadable PDF workbooks that you can use simultaneously.
Yes! You will get access to an exclusive community group where my students share their creations, ask questions and seek feedback. I am part of the group and am regularly checking in to make sure every question gets answered.
You don't need power tools in the Beginner Course and we build a wood mosaic using only one angle. In the Advanced Course you need at least a mitre saw to cut different angles. All other tools I use are optional.
IMPORTANT:
If you want to enrol in the Advanced Course, I highly recommend completing the Beginner Course first. The Advanced will not cover the basics again, so it’s essential to have that foundation to fully benefit from the advanced techniques.
This depends on what you already have available. If you are starting from zero you will spend approximately $50-100 on equipment such as rulers, wood glue, sanding paper and a few small hand tools (depending on whether you buy budget or slightly better quality brands). I can't give you an estimate on the timber as this varies depending on where you buy from but it's usually not a large expense. If you recycle timber you can find a lot for free which I talk about in the Advanced Course.
Yes. I will show you a hand tool that replaces a mitre saw and allows you to cut precise angles easily.
All of my students get lifetime access to all of my courses.
Due to the nature of online resources I do not offer refunds for my courses.
